A historic record: Russian-Armenian University admitted 2,000 new students

The Russian-Armenian University (RAU) achieved a historic high in its 29-year history with its 2026 admissions campaign – approximately 2,000 students were admitted to the first year of undergraduate, specialist, master's, and doctoral programs. This was announced by RAU Rector, Doctor of Economics of the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation, Professor Edward Sandoyan, at a ceremony marking Knowledge Day.

 “Just a few years ago, we were proud to have around 4,000 students, then we surpassed 5,340, and today we have over 6,000. This means that our university is becoming increasingly popular. This is very good for us, for you, for the university's reputation as a whole, and is of great importance, as it is the result of the effective work of our faculty, our instructors, our students, and the educational process itself, based on mutual collaboration between students and faculty," the Rector noted.

According to Sandoyan, new technologies are developing at such a speed that the knowledge and skills, especially the scientific research tools used just a year ago, are no longer relevant. "Therefore, today we are introducing elements of artificial intelligence and AI studies into the educational process—more advanced tools for mastering new technologies and innovations," the RAU Rector noted.

RAU students were also welcomed by delegations from the Russian Embassy in Armenia and the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in Armenia.
