RA Prime Minister: Yerevan is working with Baku and Ankara to open communications, including through the TRIPP project, the implementation of which on the ground will begin in the coming months

ArmInfo. The world must be multipolar, which is one of the options for ensuring peace and security. This was stated by RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, speaking at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO+) summit.

According to him, against this backdrop, the question arises: how can Armenia contribute to the development of a multipolar world? In Armenia, this process is characterized as a balanced and equitable policy. The essence of this policy, according to the Prime Minister, is that if the attraction of any geopolitical center of power grows so strong that it threatens to undermine the country's independence, Armenia will intensify its ties with the other pole to maintain balance, ensure sovereignty, and independence.

On this path, Pashinyan noted that in recent years, Armenia has signed strategic cooperation agreements with Georgia, China, Kazakhstan, the United States, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Luxembourg, the United Kingdom, Bulgaria, Croatia, and Lithuania. Relations with Iran and India are essentially strategic in nature, and Yerevan is working to formalize them. By developing relations with friendly Iran and Georgia, according to the Prime Minister, Yerevan is moving toward establishing state relations with two other neighbors – Turkey and Azerbaijan. He pointed out that this process has become more substantive since the establishment of peace through the mediation of US President Donald Trump. Yerevan is currently working with Baku and Ankara to open communications, including through the TRIPP project, the implementation of which will begin on the ground in the coming months. This will open up transport opportunities not only from East to West (the Caspian Sea to the Mediterranean), but also from South to North (from the Persian Gulf to the Black Sea). Thus, according to the Prime Minister, all countries in the region will benefit from the project's implementation.
