Temperature in Armenia will drop by 4-6 degrees

ArmInfo. On August 31, temperatures in Armenia will drop by 4-6 degrees. This was reported by the Center for Hydrometeorology and Monitoring of the Ministry of Environment.

As noted in the report, short-term rain and thunderstorms are expected in most regions of the country on August 31. Heavy rain and hail are possible in some regions from September 1 to 4. Wind: southeast and east, with gusts up to 4-7 m/s; during thunderstorms, gusts can increase to 20-25 m/s.

In the Shirak region, daytime temperatures will range from +18 to +23, in the Kotayk region from +18 to +26. In Gegharkunik, daytime temperatures are expected to range from 16 to 20°C (61 to 70°F), while in the Lori region, daytime temperatures will fluctuate between 15 and 19°C (59 to 65°F). In the Tavush region, daytime temperatures are expected to range from 16 to 22°C (69 to 72°F). In the Aragatsotn region, daytime temperatures are expected to range from 19 to 29°C (77 to 82°F). In the Ararat region, daytime temperatures will range from 25 to 30°C (80 to 96°F). In Armavir, daytime temperatures are expected to range from 27 to 30°C (80 to 96°F). In the Vayots Dzor region, daytime temperatures will range from 19 to 30°C (69 to 86°F), and in the Syunik region, from 14 to 25°C (80 to 96°F).

Rain and thunderstorms are predicted in Yerevan on August 31 and September 1-2. No precipitation is expected on September 3-4. During thunderstorms, wind gusts will increase to 18-23 m/s. Temperatures will be between 27°C and 29°C.

Note that Gagik Surenyan, Deputy Director of the Center for Hydrometeorology and Monitoring, noted on his Facebook page that the first day of September will be the coolest in Armenia in the last 10 years.
