All divisions of Migration and Civil Service to be digitized by 2026  end - minister 

ArmInfo. All divisions of the Migration and Civil Service of Armenia will be digitized by the end  of the year. This was announced by Armenian Interior Minister Arpine  Sargsyan during a working meeting with Acting Head of the Migration  and Citizenship Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Nelly  Davtyan and representatives of the Service.

According to the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Internal  Affairs, a preliminary version of the online platform designed for  receiving applications for residence permits and digitizing their  processing was presented during the meeting.

The introduction of the new platform is due to amendments to the Law  "On Foreigners," according to which, starting November 1, services  provided as part of the procedures for obtaining a residence permit  in the Republic of Armenia will be digitized.

With the introduction of new software solutions, it is planned to  digitalize not only the application submission process but also their  subsequent processing and administrative procedures. Digitization of  the system will help reduce paperwork, optimize administrative  processes, and improve the quality of service delivery.

The details of the platform launch and application acceptance  process, the capabilities of automated data verification and  retrieval of necessary information from government information  systems, as well as the key functions provided for various  beneficiaries, were discussed. Areas for simplifying processes and  increasing organizational efficiency were also considered.

Sargsyan, citing the effectiveness and applicability of the  platform's launch, emphasized the importance of completing  digitalization work within the established timeframe and to the  required quality.

The Armenian Minister of Internal Affairs emphasized that  digitalization should be implemented not only at the technical level  but also be accompanied by a review of the service delivery process  with the goal of maximizing its simplification and citizen-focused  approach.

"We note that as a result of these and other changes, all divisions  of the Migration and Civil Service will be digitized by the end of  the year. We do not plan any changes to the timeline in this regard,"  the Minister of Internal Affairs said.

In this regard, she instructed that work on improving the platform  continue, taking into account the issues and suggestions raised  during the discussion, and to ensure the full implementation of the  necessary functions.
