Hay Dat: Armenian authorities` attacks on diaspora and ARF`s Hay Dat  system proof of their effectiveness

ArmInfo.The attacks by representatives of Nikol Pashinyan's ruling Civil Contract party in Armenia in recent weeks against the diaspora and especially the Hay Dat system of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) are an involuntary admission that this system is effective and that its  agenda is attracting the attention of the international community. This was stated in a statement by the ARF's Hay Dat Central Council,  published on its Facebook page.

It notes, in particular, that the Civil Contract party, which has  gained power in Armenia, continues, in violation of the Constitution  and laws of the Republic, to target national values, deepen  intra-national divisions, and strengthen its anti-national policies,  which objectively serve the plans of hostile countries.  "This  applies both to the election program it adopted for the 2026 National  Assembly elections and to the government program for 2026-2031  submitted to parliament, as well as to statements by various  representatives of the Civil Contract Party. The ruling party equates  Armenia's state power, in this case itself, with the Republic of  Armenia-just as the Bolsheviks once did. Ignoring the fact that more  than half of the Republic's citizens who voted against it in the  controversial recent elections, the Civil Contract Party stubbornly  declares, 'If you're not with us, then you're against the Republic of  Armenia,' and continues to act based on this logic," the Central  Council noted.

Following the parliamentary elections, as Hay Dat continued, the  ruling party quickly restricted the rights of Armenian voters, and  then, in the same Bolshevik style, repeated the notion that  "anti-state" and "state- oriented" circles exist in the diaspora. "In  the government program for 2026-2031, it included goals to complicate  the process of obtaining Armenian citizenship for ethnic Armenians  and to 'effectively remove the head of the Armenian Apostolic Church  (AAC).' Based on the ideology of the so-called 'Real Armenia' and  based on a misguided assessment, it also pitted strengthening the  homeland against strengthening the diaspora. The ruling party's  attacks in recent weeks on the diaspora, and especially on the ARF  Hay Dat system, are an involuntary admission that this system is  effective and that its agenda is attracting the attention of the  international community," the Council asserts.

The Armenian National Movement (Hay Dat) noted that dissatisfaction  with this effectiveness has primarily been expressed and continues to  be expressed by Turkey and Azerbaijan, the main threats to Armenia's  security. "Apparently, the Civil Contract Party has decided to add  its voice to theirs in this case," the Council noted.

In conclusion, they recalled the priorities of the Armenian National  Movement (AfD) system: the protection of all rights of Artsakh and  the Artsakh people in all their manifestations-from punishing  Azerbaijan for its crimes to the right of return and the right to  self-determination. They also support strengthening Armenia's  security, international recognition and condemnation of the Armenian  Genocide, obtaining compensation, and training young people to defend  the rights of the Armenian people.

As a reminder, on August 22, a working discussion of the draft law on  amendments to the Law on Citizenship of the Republic of Armenia was  held under the chairmanship of Interior Minister Arpine Sargsyan.  During the meeting, proposals were presented to revise and improve  the processes for obtaining and restoring Armenian citizenship.
