ArmInfo. According to preliminary data, around 10,000 families may apply for housing for IDPs from Karabakh in 2026. RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced this at a government meeting on August 27.
According to him, approximately 7,000 families have already taken advantage of the program, receiving certificates for the purchase of housing. The number of applicants this year may be higher, as the estimates are purely preliminary. Approximately 800 billion drams are planned to be allocated for the program's implementation over the next few years.
As a reminder, this program is implemented in the form of one of the following types of support: a certificate for the purchase of an apartment (the right to purchase an apartment in a building under construction) or a residential building, a certificate for the construction of an individual residential building, and support for repaying an existing mortgage loan. The cost of the certificates per family member is: 5 million drams if the beneficiary purchases or builds a house/apartment in any of the 242 urban and rural settlements; 4 million drams if they purchase or build their own house/apartment in any other regional settlement of the Republic of Armenia other than the 242 approved settlements; and 3 million drams in the city of Yerevan (excluding Yerevan's 1st and 2nd zones).
