


ArmInfo. Around 8:30 AM, a fire broke out on scheduled bus #52 on the Kievsky Bridge due to a turbine malfunction. The press service of Yerevan Bus CJSC reported this.
It is noted that the engine's automatic fire suppression system was activated after the fire. "Passengers were safely evacuated to a safe distance. Two fire extinguishers located on the bus were also used. The fire was extinguished by the driver and a patrol officer within 3-5 minutes," Yerevan Bus CJSC reported, adding that a 911 team was dispatched to the scene for safety reasons.
Meanwhile, the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs Police told ArmInfo that there were no injuries in the incident. "One fire and rescue team from the Yerevan Rescue Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Rescue Service was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that the fire originated in the engine compartment of the bus. There were no injuries as a result of the incident," the Ministry of Internal Affairs Police concluded.
