RA government`s decision: RA Embassy in Warsaw to institute military  attache position 

ArmInfo. The Armenian Embassy in Warsaw will establish a military attache position. The decision to establish this position was made at a meeting of the Armenian  government on August 27.

The rationale for the draft decision notes that in the 34 years since  the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of  Armenia and the Republic of Poland in 1992, interstate relations  between Armenia and Poland have steadily developed. The two countries  enjoy strong interstate ties, a growing level of political dialogue,  active interparliamentary cooperation, a rich legal and treaty  framework, and cooperation on multilateral platforms, as well as in  the fields of economics, education, culture, interregional  cooperation, and other areas.

An important component of Armenian-Polish relations is cooperation in  the defense sector, the foundation of which is the agreement on  defense cooperation signed on September 6, 2004, between the  governments of the two countries, as well as the agreement on  military-technical cooperation between the defense ministries of  Armenia and Poland, signed in Warsaw on February 26, 2026.

"The Republic of Armenia is interested in further expanding and  deepening relations with the Republic of Poland in both bilateral and  multilateral formats, and the presence of the Military Attache of the  Republic of Armenia in Poland will be another incentive in the  context of deepening bilateral cooperation. The existing high-level  political dialogue and cooperation with Poland on bilateral and  multilateral platforms are a prerequisite for establishing ties  between the two states in the field of defense, developing and  deepening bilateral multi-sectoral cooperation, in particular, for  creating a basis for the formation and further expansion of  constructive cooperation in the military-technical sphere. Currently,  cooperation in the field of defense includes training instructors,  joint participation in international peacekeeping missions,  protecting the rights of female military personnel, civilian  oversight in the armed forces, as well as exchanging experiences in  the field of internal audit and the implementation of anti-corruption  mechanisms. In the future, cooperation may also include periodic  bilateral military-political consultations in the field of security  and defense, as well as the development of military cooperation and  new areas within the framework of existing programs, in particular  military education, training of professional non- commissioned  officers, "Officers, combat training of personnel, military medicine,  exchange of experience in various professional fields, and other  programs will be implemented. Thus, both countries possess  significant potential and prospects for further development of  relations in the defense sector, as well as in the military-technical  sphere. Moreover, Armenia attaches great importance to the consistent  development and expansion of bilateral cooperation with Poland as an  important bridge between Armenia and NATO, as well as the European  Union. The presence of a military attache in Poland will facilitate  the further development of defense cooperation between the two  countries and will give new impetus to joint defense activities  between the two countries. The presence of a military attache will  ensure that defense relations are elevated to a higher level of  partnership," the rationale for the draft decision states.
