Ararat village park land returned to community - RA Prosecutor`s  Office

ArmInfo.  As a result of the prosecutor's office's intervention, a park land plot in the village  of Ararat has been returned to the community. This was reported by  the press service of the supervisory authority.

According to the source, the Ararat Regional Prosecutor's Office, as  part of its mandate to protect state (community) interests, reviewed  documents regarding the allocation of land plots in the Ararat  village park area to various individuals with construction rights.

The review revealed, among other things, that on August 10, 2007, the  former head of the Ararat community allocated a 14-square-meter park  plot located at 44/2 Hakhtanak Street in the village of Ararat to an  individual with a construction right for a period of 99 years. The  investigation revealed that the developer had not used the land for  its intended purpose.

The prosecutor's office submitted a petition to the head of the  Ararat community, demanding that measures be taken to terminate the  land purchase and sale agreement concluded between the village of  Ararat and the developer on August 10, 2007.

Based on the petition, and following measures taken by the competent  authorities of the Ararat community municipality, the registered  development right for the land, valued at 262,000 drams,  approximately equal to its market value, was terminated by the  Cadastre Committee on August 24, 2026.

Work is underway to resolve other agreements.
