
ArmInfo. The Prosecutor's Office of Armenia is demanding the invalidation of a number of real estate transactions related to Gagik Tsarukyan. The claims have been accepted for court review. This was stated in a statement by the supervisory authority.
According to the source, on August 7, 2026, the Kotayk Regional Prosecutor's Office filed claims with the Anti-Corruption Court demanding the invalidation of transactions and auctions related to a number of real estate properties owned by Gagik Tsarukyan and persons associated with him, and the application of the consequences of invalidity. In the first lawsuit, the prosecutor's office demanded that the auction for the sale of a 3.5-hectare land plot belonging to Firma Novaya LLC be declared invalid. The plot is listed as restricted under Article 60 of the Land Code and is not subject to alienation. They also sought to invalidate the agreement between Gagik Tsarukyan and Firma Novaya LLC regarding the investment of real estate as a non-cash deposit in the company's authorized capital, signed on October 2, 2025.
By a decision of the Anti-Corruption Court dated August 19, 2026, the lawsuit was accepted for consideration.
On the same day, the court granted the prosecutor's office's motion to apply a security measure for the lawsuit. Specifically, Firma Novaya LLC was prohibited from performing any actions regarding the 3.5- hectare land plot located in the village of Arinj, Abovyan community, Kotayk region.
In the second lawsuit, the prosecutor's office demanded that the auction for the sale of a 14.176-hectare land plot belonging to Gagik and Javahir Tsarukyan, as well as the real estate purchase and sale agreement signed on February 15, 2003 between Aramik Sedrakyan, Gayane Sedrakyan and Gagik Tsarukyan for the land plot for their private house in the village of Arinj in the Kotayk region, and the real estate purchase and sale agreement signed on March 14, 2013 between Aramik Sedrakyan and Gagik Tsarukyan for a 1.61- hectare land plot, be declared invalid, applying the consequences of invalidity.
By a decision of the Anti-Corruption Court on August 19, 2026, this claim was also accepted for review.
On the same day, the court granted the prosecutor's office's motion to impose interim measures on the claim. Gagik Tsarukyan and Javahir Tsarukyan were prohibited from taking any action regarding the real estate located at the above-mentioned addresses, which amount to 12.566 hectares and 1.61 hectares, respectively.
As a reminder, on July 6, Prosperous Armenia Party leader and businessman Gagik Tsarukyan was detained and taken to the Investigative Committee of Armenia. He is accused of organizing fraud and money laundering on an especially large scale. According to investigators, between 2022 and 2024, a group operating under his leadership, under the pretext of developing trade and economic ties between Armenia and Iran, created joint legal entities with the participation of Iranian citizens, after which they carried out a fraudulent scheme, causing damages totaling over $21 million. Furthermore, Gagik Tsarukyan faces another charge of illegal hunting. On July 7, the court granted the prosecution's motion to remand Tsarukyan in custody for two months. As part of the case, on July 6, law enforcement agencies conducted searches at more than 70 addresses associated with Tsarukyan. The doors of all businesses were subsequently sealed.
