


ArmInfo. Searches are being conducted at the Orange Fitness fitness club and the Play City entertainment center, both owned by the family of Armenia's second president, Robert Kocharyan. Kima Avdalyan, press secretary for the Investigative Committee (IC) of Armenia, announced this on her Facebook page.
The IC's press secretary reported that searches are also underway at the apartments of the directors of the aforementioned complexes. "As part of the criminal proceedings, investigative and procedural actions are being conducted at the Orange Fitness club, the Play City entertainment center, and the apartments of their directors," Avdalyan wrote. This morning, it was reported that security forces had taken Armenia's second president, Robert Kocharyan, to the Anti-Corruption Committee. Furthermore, since the early morning of August 25, searches have been underway at the home of Levon Kocharyan, a member of the National Assembly of Armenia from the opposition Armenia faction and the son of second president Robert Kocharyan. It was also reported that searches were being conducted at dozens of addresses of companies belonging to the Kocharyan family. The Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia confirmed the detention of Robert Kocharyan and his son, Sedrak Kocharyan.
It is noteworthy that the day before, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan ordered law enforcement agencies to strip Kocharyan and the third president of the Republic, Serzh Sargsyan, of their property.
