Ex-president Robert Kocharyan`s son Sedrak Kocharyan brought to RA  Anti-Corruption Committee

ArmInfo.  Sedrak Kocharyan, the eldest son of Armenia's second president, Robert Kocharyan, has also been brought before the Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia.   Earlier today, law enforcement agencies brought both the second  president and his youngest son, Levon Kocharyan, a member of the  National Assembly of Armenia, to the committee.

Along with searches of the homes of those detained, the tax authority  has also become involved. In particular, it was reported that  inspections have begun at the office of Toyota, a company in which  Robert Kocharyan's eldest son, Sedrak Kocharyan, is a shareholder.  Anti-Corruption Committee officers are also at the Orange Premium  fitness club, and club members have been notified that the club is  currently closed.  Investigative bodies are conducting searches at  the Orange fitness club and the Play City entertainment center, both  of which are directly or indirectly owned by Robert Kocharyan's  eldest son.

Bagrat Mikoyan, head of the office of the second president of the  Republic of Armenia, announced that investigative bodies transferred  Robert Kocharyan to the Anti-Corruption Committee this morning. The  statement emphasized that the authorities have launched another  attack on Robert Kocharyan and his family.

As a reminder, a heated debate erupted yesterday in the country's  parliament between Levon Kocharyan and Prime Minister Nikol  Pashinyan. According to Armenian media, Nikol Pashinyan was  infuriated by this controversy, during which Kocharyan, addressing  Pashinyan, stated: "The people are asking us why this blasphemer and  traitor is still in power?"
