ArmInfo. Yerevan will never join the European Union, but will permanently damage its relations with the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), including with Moscow. This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev, answering a question.
"It is obvious that Armenia will never join the European Union, which suffers from chronic illnesses, but will permanently damage its relations with Russia and other EEU countries," the politician noted, according to TASS.
"This is the price of the schizoid ambitions of the current ruler of a small country, heavily laced with betrayal of national interests, Soros's money, and the satanic persecution of the Armenian Apostolic Church," Medvedev continued. "However, with regard to the current government,
There is only one rule in Armenia: "Non mittite margaritas ante porcos" (don't cast pearls before swine)," Medvedev added.
It's worth noting that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced from the parliamentary rostrum on August 24 that the country intends to apply for EU membership in the near future. He also expressed his belief that the country should hold a referendum on its membership in the EU or the EAEU only after applying for EU membership and receiving a response.
