Oppositionist: Armenian government`s five-year program is a program  for disintegration of Armenian state

ArmInfo. The Armenian government's new five-year program for 2026-2031 is a program for the disintegration of the Armenian state. This was stated by Gegham Manukyan, an MP from the opposition Armenia faction, speaking to journalists in parliament on August 24, referring to the government  program's provision on the delimitation and demarcation of the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

He recalled that the Armenian prime minister had previously assured  that the border delimitation was being carried out based on the maps  of the USSR General Staff from 1974-1979. "Meanwhile, if you open the  Ministry of Foreign Affairs' website right now and look at the  agreement signed between Armenia and Azerbaijan, you'll see that  there's not a single mention of this. Moreover, when we reviewed  these documents, we saw that the Armenian side proposed that  Azerbaijan include the General Staff's maps in the agreement, but the  Azerbaijani side refused, and these maps weren't taken into account,"  Manukyan noted.

According to him, the USSR General Staff's maps are also not  mentioned in the regulations of the Commission for Delimitation and  Demarcation of the State Border between the Republic of Armenia and  the Republic of Azerbaijan. "I previously explained from the  parliamentary rostrum that Tigranashen was part of the Armenian SSR  on January 15, 1990. Moreover, according to the 1926 map, it was also  part of the Armenian SSR. Where will all this lead the country? Does  this mean that everyone can give up their home to Azerbaijan for  monetary compensation? The Armenian government's new five-year  program is a program for the disintegration of the Armenian state,"  Manukyan concluded.

As a reminder, at a briefing on August 20, Pashinyan stated that  Artsvashen is Armenian territory, while Tigranashen (which the  Armenian prime minister called by its Azerbaijani name, Karki - ed.),  Barkhudarlu, Sofulu, and Upper Voskepar (for the latter, Pashinyan  again used the Azerbaijani name, Yukhari-Askipara - ed.) are not.

According to the Armenian government's program for 2026-2031, work  will continue on delimiting and demarcating the state border with  Azerbaijan, intensifying contacts between civil society and business  circles of Armenia and Azerbaijan, and will also promote the  development of bilateral trade.
