Probe launched into serviceman`s death 

ArmInfo. The Armenian Ministry of Defense has confirmed the death of conscript Edgar Gevorgyan.

According to the ministry, Gevorgyan's body, with a gunshot wound,  was discovered on August 23.

"An investigation is underway to fully clarify the circumstances of  the incident. The Ministry of Defense expresses its condolences and  support to the soldier's family, relatives, and fellow servicemen,"  the Armenian Ministry of Defense continued in a statement. The  Investigative Committee of Armenia reported that a criminal case has  been opened under the article on murder. The suspect has been  detained.

Meanwhile, according to widely speculated media reports, the murder  was the result of hazing. A fellow serviceman of Gevorgyan has been  detained in connection with the incident. It is noteworthy that this  is already the third non-combat death in the Armenian Armed Forces  this month.
