Citizens of the RA returning from the Middle East to be compensated  for the cost of return tickets

ArmInfo.Armenian citizens who returned to the homeland from Middle East conflict zones in February will receive state compensation for their return air  tickets, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign  Affairs of the Republic of Armenia. 

 " The MFA has launched the reimbursement process for return flight  tickets purchased by Armenian citizens who had to secure new travel  arrangements following the cancellation of return or transit flights  to Armenia due to military hostilities in the Middle East this past  February," the  Ministry reported.

Between April 10 and August 20, 2026, authorities reviewed 630  applications, resulting in compensation payouts for 902 citizens.  Total reimbursements amounted to approximately 174 million drams,  with payouts reaching up to 250,000 drams per person.

The Foreign Ministry supported citizens throughout the entire  process—ranging from application filing and document collection to  disbursing funds—while collaborating with airlines and travel  agencies as needed.  Following a decline in application volume, a  government decree issued on August 20 set the final submission  deadline for August 25," the Ministry's statement reads.
