ArmInfo. Armenia recorded 6,421 emergency incidents during the first six months of 2026, a notable decrease compared to the 7,785 incidents reported during the same period in 2025. The data was presented on August 21 by Aram Ghazaryan, Director of the Rescue Service and Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs.
According to the official report, the breakdown of emergency incidents for the first half of 2026 is as follows: technogenic (man-made) incidents: 4,737; natural disasters: 569 and socio-domestic incidents: 1,115. Rescue personnel successfully saved 68 individuals during this period.
Ghazaryan attributed the overall decline in incidents to both favorable weather patterns and enhanced preventive measures, particularly regarding fire safety.
