


ArmInfo. Armenian Ambassador to Russia Gurgen Arsenyan will be recalled, according toy the newspaper Zhogovurd, which cites its reliable sources.
According to these reports, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has made the decision to recall the ambassador, and the move is irreversible. "It is still unclear who will replace Arsenyan; according to our information, there is currently no apparent candidate for the post," the newspaper stated.
According to the publication, Prime Minister Pashinyan is dissatisfied with Arsenyan's performance, noting in particular his failure to normalize tense Armenian-Russian relations. "Meanwhile, Pashinyan himself has been unable to normalize relations with Vladimir Putin. One of the most glaring episodes of this is that the Russian president did not even congratulate Pashinyan following the parliamentary elections," the report adds.
Zhogovurd attempted to obtain an official clarification for Arsenyan's recall. he Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the matter falls outside its jurisdiction and redirected inquiries to the President's office. In turn, the Presidential Administration advised addressing the question to the government. However, according to official sources within the government, Gurgen Arsenyan's recall is already an irreversible reality.
