Now, the court proceedings have become so uninteresting—and the case has collapsed to such a degree—that even the pro-government press chooses not to cover it. I categorically and completely deny the existence of any illegal financial assets or real estate belonging to me or my family, or falsely attributed to us. In reality, the only things that are illegal are the criminal and civil cases initiated against me and my associates. As for financial resources, you could just as easily add two zeros or an even more astronomical figure to the sums attributed to me, and it would bear the exact same relation to reality as everything else currently being fabricated. I have had no connection to unlawful actions either before, during, or after my time in public office, and I will defend my rights in court regardless of the deplorable state of the current judicial system. You have tried to label me a 'looter' for eight years now. Guys, don't you realize that this tactic simply doesn't work? The charges and criminal cases you have fabricated serve as nothing more than self- incriminating testimonies," Ashotyan noted.
