ArmInfo. Armenian authorities express serious concern about the development of the Iranian-American confrontation. This was stated by RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at a briefing on August 20.
According to him, Yerevan is actively and closely working with both Tehran and Washington. For this reason, Armenia hopes that the problem will be resolved as soon as possible.
It should be noted that in August 2026, the conflict between the US and Iran entered a phase of intense economic confrontation after the expiration of the temporary ceasefire memorandum. US President Donald Trump announced the start of a large-scale pressure campaign and Operation Economic Fury, aimed at completely cutting off Tehran's energy export revenues. The temporary agreement between the parties has expired, and new agreements have not been reached, which creates the risk of renewed active escalation.
