ArmInfo.Liparit Drmeyan, a member of the "Wings of Unity" party and former head of the Office of the Representative of Armenia on International Legal Affairs, reported that their political force continues its odyssey of appealing the results of the parliamentary elections held in the country on June 7.
"We continue our odyssey of appealing the election results. The Administrative Court of Appeal rejected the appeal filed by the Wings of Unity party, in which the party demanded the annulment of the Administrative Court's decision to dismiss the claim. I remand you that the party's claim challenges Central Electoral Commission Decision No. 258-A of June 15, 2026, which was never reviewed by the Constitutional Court.
The following part of the Administrative Court of Appeal's decision is noteworthy: the Constitutional Court rejected the party's appeal against Decision No. 258-A for review, which does not mean that this decision is subject to administrative appeal," Drmeyjan wrote on his Facebook page.
He stated that such an approach directly contradicts Article 3 of Protocol No. 1 to the European Convention on Human Rights. The politician drew attention to the fact that, practically speaking, the party cannot challenge the illegality of decision No. 258-A in any instance. "We have filed a cassation appeal. The Court of Cassation is the final instance for exhausting domestic remedies," Drmeyan wrote.
