Investigation into Lori Province electoral obstruction case completed

ArmInfo. The Investigative Committee of Armenia has finalized the preliminary  investigation into a criminal case concerning the obstruction of the  free exercise of electoral rights in the Lori Province.

According to the Investigative Committee, the investigation uncovered  clear evidence that a citizen, identified as K.A., obstructed the  free exercise of electoral rights of two residents of the village of  Shirakamut due to their support for the "Armenia" alliance during the  regular elections to the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia  held on June 7, 2026.

Following the investigation, the supervising prosecutor initiated  criminal proceedings against K.A. under Part 1 of Article 210 of the  Criminal Code (obstruction of the exercise of rights or performance  of duties by persons participating in elections).

The case file and indictment have been forwarded to the supervising  prosecutor with a motion to send the matter to court.
