ArmInfo. Aregnaz Manukyan, who is under arrest on charges of leaking state secrets, has finally been granted permission to meet with her daughters, her defense attorney Tatevik Soghoyan shared this information on her Facebook page.
The decision was made by the investigator handling the case. "Following the recent public scandal, only today—on her child's birthday—has Aregnaz Manukyan received permission to meet with her daughters," Soghoyan wrote.
According to the lawyer, the meeting has not yet taken place, and Manukyan had not yet been informed of the decision at the time of the announcement.
Recall, Manukyan was detained and subsequently arrested on July 9. She stands accused of disclosing information containing state secrets (Part 1, Article 427 of the Criminal Code of Armenia), though she denies all charges. Previously, first-instance court judge Manvel Shahverdyan had barred Manukyan from having any contact, even with her minor daughter. Attorney Tatevik Soghoyan stated yesterday that the preliminary investigation into Manukyan's case has been finalized.
