Nikol Pashinyan calls on citizens to actively participate in  Varchafest festival-competition.

ArmInfo. The first Varchafest festival-competition will take place on the shores of Lake  Sevan on August 22. RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan shared this  information  on his Facebook page on August 18.

 According to him, the event will be held on the same site where the international forum  Seaside Startup Summit Armenia 2026 is planned to be held. It is  planned that within the framework of Varchafest, several musical  bands that have previously passed the selection procedures will  perform their programs. The winner will be determined based on the  votes of the jury members and the audience present at the venue,  followed by an award ceremony featuring monetary prizes. 

As Pashinyan emphasized, parallel events will run alongside the  festival, including fairs, performances, and sports competitions.  Before the festival starts, the head of government reported, there  will be a major concert by the band Lav Eli dedicated to the 30th  anniversary of its founding, as well as a performance by the band  Kami Friends outside of their competition program. "And where there  is a concert, there will certainly be food, socializing, dancing, and  a good time," the Prime Minister of the RA noted, adding that  residents of the Gegharkunik Province will present their products and  services at the fairs.

Pashinyan stated that the program kicks off at 12:00 PM. For those  wishing to attend the festival, a train will depart from the railway  station for the venue in the morning at 9:30 AM, returning to Yerevan  at 8:30 PM. Admission to the festival, as well as travel, is free of  charge. The Prime Minister urged citizens to take part in the  festival-competition.

Recall, the RA government had previously allocated AMD 179 mln for  its implementation. -0-
