Investigative Committee reports arrest of fellow serviceman in Grigor  Zakaryan`s suicide case

ArmInfo. A  fellow serviceman has been detained in connection with the death of Armenian Armed Forces conscript Grigor Zakaryan. Kima Avdalyan, press  secretary of the Armenian Investigative Committee, announced the arrest on her Facebook page.

"During the preliminary investigation of the criminal case launched  on August 13 regarding the death of a serviceman at a Ministry of  Defense military unit, criminal proceedings were initiated against  one individual under Part 2, Clauses 2 and 3 of Article 522 of the  Criminal Code (incitement to suicide of a serviceman through  negligence). He has been detained," she stated.

On August 13, the Armenian Ministry of Defense reported the death of  conscript Grigor Zakaryan. No details regarding the cause of death  were released at the time. Armenian media reported on August 17 that  Zakaryan had been subjected to bullying by fellow servicemen for  falling asleep at his combat post.
