


ArmInfo. The preliminary investigation into the criminal case against former Minister of Education and Science, Deputy Chairman of the Republican Party Armen Ashotyan and two other individuals has been completed, as noted in a statement issued by the RA Investigative Committee.
"As we previously reported, the Investigative Committee of Armenia is reviewing criminal proceedings regarding the illegal alienation by seven individuals of a 451.1-square-meter public building located at 38/1 Pushkin Street in Yerevan, which was the property of Armenia and granted for use to the 'Yerevan Brusov State University of Languages and Social Sciences' SNCO, as well as large-scale money laundering and complicity in these acts. During the preliminary investigation, the criminal proceedings against A.A., G.G., and A.Av., on charges of abuse of official powers or influence derived therefrom, or excess of powers committed by a group of officials by prior conspiracy, as well as complicity in large-scale money laundering, were sent with an indictment to the prosecutor," the Committee's statement reads.
