The Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia is demanding the state confiscation of movable and immovable property belonging to Asatur Sahakyan, the former head of the Gugark branch of the State Revenue Committee (SRC), valued at approximately 194 million drams, as noted in a statement issued by the supervisory body.
The source notes that the Anti-Corruption Court has accepted for review another case filed by the Prosecutor General's Office regarding the confiscation of property of illicit origin. The Prosecutor General's Office's Department for Confiscation of Illegally Produced Assets filed a motion with the court to confiscate two properties located in Yerevan, four vehicles, shares in four legal entities, and 183,561,000 drams (the remaining amount of illicit funds) from Asatur Sahakyan, who served as the head of the Gugark branch of the State Revenue Committee, and related persons.
Furthermore, the department reported that an additional 10,566,000 drams, which are not justified by the individual's legitimate income and are of illegal origin, were transferred to a bona fide purchaser and cannot be identified and confiscated.
