Pashinyan visits National Center for Nuclear Medicine

ArmInfo. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, along with Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan and  Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports Zhanna  Andreasyan, visited the National Center for Nuclear Medicine of the  V.A. Fanarjyan National Oncology Center. The Prime Minister reviewed  the conditions created at the center and discussed upcoming programs.

In 2025, the center was re-equipped, and its range of activities was  expanded. The volume of state budget investments exceeded 1 billion  drams. Over 36 million drams were allocated for partial renovations  of the center, and over 1 billion drams were spent on equipment  acquisition. Thanks to government investment, the center has been  equipped with a modern digital PET/CT system, high-end ultrasound and  mammography equipment, colonoscopy and colposcopic systems, and  uninterruptible power supplies.

The National Center for Nuclear Medicine is a unique specialized  center equipped with a cyclotron from the Belgian company IBA. As  part of the center's development, following a competitive bidding  process, the necessary equipment for the development of theranostic  medicine was acquired.

According to officials, the infrastructure and technological  capabilities established are an important prerequisite for the  further development of diagnostic and therapeutic areas of nuclear  medicine, the use of new radiopharmaceuticals, the implementation of  theranostic approaches, and the development of relevant professional  capacity.
