14,281 children  born in Armenia in H1 2026

ArmInfo.  Armenia registered 14,281 births in the first half of 2026, representing a  1.9% year-over-year decline, according to data from the Statistical  Committee of Armenia. The crude birth rate dipped to 9.3 per 1,000  residents, down from 9.5 per 1,000 in H1 2025.

Key Demographic Indicators

Mortality Rate: Total deaths decreased by 4.7% year-over-year to  12,476 individuals, lowering the crude mortality rate from 8.6 to 8.1  per 1,000 residents.

Natural Increase: Driven by the steeper drop in mortality, the  natural population growth surged by 22.5% to 1,805 people.

Natural Increase Rate: Advanced from 0.9 per 1,000 residents in H1  2025 to 1.2 per 1,000 residents in H1 2026.
