


ArmInfo. At the August 11 session of the RA National Assembly, discussions continued on the candidacy for the chairman of the NA Committee on Defense and Security. The ruling Civil Contract faction nominated Vilen Gabrielyan for the position.
In his speech, Vilen Gabrielyan touched upon the upcoming work of the committee, noting that it should become a parliamentary platform that brings together the experience of government agencies, the knowledge of scientific and educational institutions and the professional community, and the potential of the technology and private sectors. The committee is also called upon to evaluate proposals from civil society and important public issues.
