Number of seats in each of NA committees redistributed 

ArmInfo.  At its August 10 session, the National Assembly of Armenia approved the list and composition of the parliamentary committees of the ninth convocation.  The new convocation will have 12 committees. Sixty deputies voted in  favor of this decision, 15 abstained, and none voted against.

The distribution of seats among the parliamentary factions was  presented by Arusyak Julhakyan, a member of parliament from the Civil  Contract faction. The ruling Civil Contract faction received the  majority of seats in all committees. The opposition Strong Armenia  and Armenia factions also received representation in each committee.  The Labor and Welfare Committee includes eight MPs: five  representatives from the Civil Contract party, two from Strong  Armenia, and one from the Armenia faction. Eight members will also  serve on the Healthcare, Foreign Relations, Education, Science,  Culture, Sports and Diaspora, European Integration, and Human Rights  and Public Affairs committees. In each committee, the Civil Contract  party is represented by five MPs, Strong Armenia by two, and Armenia  by one.

The Defense and Security Committee will include 10 MPs: six from the  Civil Contract party, three from Strong Armenia, and one from  Armenia. The State and Legal Affairs Committee will consist of 11  members: seven representatives of the ruling faction, three from  Strong Armenia, and one from Armenia. 

The Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration will include eight  deputies: five from the Civil Contract party, two from Strong  Armenia, and one from Armenia. The Committee on Territorial  Administration and Environmental Protection will include ten  deputies: six from the Civil Contract party, three from Strong  Armenia, and one from Armenia. The Committee on Economic Affairs will  have ten members: six from the Civil Contract party, three from  Strong Armenia, and one from Armenia. The Committee on Financial,  Credit, and Budgetary Affairs will consist of eight deputies: five  from the Civil Contract party, two from Strong Armenia, and one from  Armenia.
