RA premier attends closing ceremony of Army Games in Tavush

ArmInfo. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attended the closing ceremony of the Army Games in Tavush region, held for the fourth consecutive year.

The Army Games kicked off on August 2 at the sports facilities of the  Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia and the Monte  Melkonyan Military Sports Lyceum Foundation in Dilijan. Teams from  the Ministries of Defense, Internal Affairs, Justice, the National  Security Service, the State Protection Service, the State Revenue  Committee, the Investigative Committee, and the Anti-Corruption  Committee participated in the games. 

The goal of the Army Games between law enforcement agencies, held  under the patronage of the Prime Minister, is to popularize  military-applied sports, enhance the role and importance of physical  fitness, create a healthy competitive atmosphere, and strengthen  cooperation between the law enforcement agencies participating in the  games.

After greeting those present, the Prime Minister congratulated  everyone on the holding of the next Army Games. Nikol Pashinyan  emphasized the importance of the Army Games, noting that they create  new platforms for service and work, providing representatives of  relevant agencies with new venues and opportunities for  self-expression: "I think today's awards ceremony demonstrated this.  We saw some of our colleagues on the honorary podium more than  once-this can't be a coincidence; it means something. And this  definitely means that these people are putting in more effort and are  more focused on their work and service."

According to the Prime Minister, this platform also signals the  current state of affairs in various services and creates a certain  element of competition within organizations, including between  departments. The Prime Minister also noted the importance of the Army  Games in terms of creating a new platform for social interaction for  service members, as well as creating opportunities for joy and fun:  "We believe that strengthening social ties is important for  strengthening the state, because, especially in modern life, work  takes up more and more time, the pace of life has increased, and new  opportunities for social interaction are often lacking. And I hope  that this period that the Games participants are spending here also  gives them some opportunity to take a break from work."

Nikol Pashinyan congratulated all the winners and thanked them for  their efforts. "The Republic of Armenia values and prioritizes these  individual efforts, and today these individual efforts have been  recognized, which, in my opinion, is no less important. I thank the  Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports for organizing  the Games for the fourth time, the Ministry of Defense for their  support in holding the Games, the Monte Melkonian Lyceum for hosting  these Games, and the heads of all participating agencies who  encourage their employees to participate," the Prime Minister said.

Summing up, Nikol Pashinyan also congratulated everyone on August 8  and noted: "This occasion has opened a new chapter for our state. I  believe it has opened new opportunities and new prospects for our  state. I am confident that we all possess the strength, will,  determination, and are ready to expand our knowledge and skills to  utilize these opportunities with maximum effectiveness."

Prime Minister Pashinyan presented awards to the teams that ranked  third, second, and first in the overall team standings.
