


ArmInfo. Today, August 8, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan called President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
According to the government press service, during the telephone conversation, the parties exchanged views on the first anniversary of the peace summit held in Washington on August 8, 2025, with the support of U.S. President Donald Trump, during which peace was established between Azerbaijan and Armenia and the text of the peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia was signed.
The parties particularly noted the important role of President Donald Trump and the U.S. government in advancing the peace process.
The parties noted the progress achieved in normalizing relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia over the past year.
During the conversation, the development of trade and economic ties between the two countries was emphasized as a tangible manifestation of the benefits of peace. In this context, the parties noted the export of Azerbaijani petroleum products to Armenia, as well as the transportation of transit cargo through Azerbaijan to Armenia and from Armenia to other destinations.
Furthermore, the parties exchanged views on the implementation of the TRIPP route in accordance with the agreements reached in Washington.
The parties emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to advance the peace process and ensure lasting peace, stability, transport accessibility, and economic cooperation in the region.
