Pashinyan participates in narrow-format meeting of the Eurasian  Intergovernmental Council

ArmInfo. On August 6,  Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan participated in a narro-format meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Cholpon-Ata.  During the meeting, participants discussed issues related to cooperation in  various areas within the Eurasian Economic Union.

According to the PM's office, at the beginning of the meeting, Kyrgyz  Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev welcomed the participants and  congratulated Nikol Pashinyan on his victory in the parliamentary  elections and his reappointment as Prime Minister of Armenia. As  previously reported, the agenda for the narrow format meeting  included two items: the implementation of general principles and  approaches to ensuring food security for EAEU countries and the  development of trade and economic cooperation between the EAEU and  its main trading partners.

It should be noted that, according to the RA Statistics Committee,  Armenia's foreign trade turnover with EAEU countries decreased by 19%  in H1 2026, amounting to $2.8 billion. Exports totaled $1.3 billion,  a 4.2% year-on-year decline, while imports dropped by 28.8% to $1.5  billion.
