Samvel Karapetyan: We are doing everything we can legally remove  Pashinyan from power

ArmInfo. The opposition is doing everything it can legally remove Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan from power, as stated by businessman Samvel Karapetyan, leader of the "Strong Armenia" bloc, to journalists on August 4 before a regular court hearing.

According to Karapetyan, opposition groups are actively holding  consultations with major political forces to coordinate their  struggle, though he declined to name specific participants and noted  he has not personally met with former President Robert Kocharyan.  

"There were meetings, but I can't say with whom exactly. They were  with the main forces. We discussed our paths of struggle," the  politician stated. According to Karapetyan, the parliamentary  opposition won mandates precisely to be part of this struggle. "And  from the outside, we will fight 'in our way.' I understand that  everyone is tired of this government and wants to get rid of it the  day before. We are tired, too. But we don't want to lead our country  into new upheavals. We are doing everything we can to legally remove  Pashinyan from power. A mechanism is working against us that must be  destroyed to achieve final victory. It is very difficult to  dismantle, since it was created by serious states—not friendly ones.  Therefore, this process takes a long time," the bloc leader  clarified. The politician refrained from identifying the specific  states he referring to, clarifying only that the influence extends  beyond Azerbaijan.

Karapetyan also commented on his expectations for the  9th  parliament. According to him, the first days of its activity are  already encouraging. "It will be interesting to observe the work of  the new parliament. Our team is very well prepared," the bloc leader  noted. He said they are ready to work with anyone who is sincere in  their aspirations. However, he believes that some opposition forces  are actually proxy forces. In conclusion, he clarified why they do  not broadcast their meetings with other opposition forces: "There are  parties and their leaders who simply do not want this," Karapetyan  summarized.
