In the Syunik Province of Armenia, during the first half of 2026, the total amount of funds recovered in favor of the state and communities through lawsuits protecting state and community interests and final judicial acts amounted to 54 million 398,000 drams, as reported by the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Armenia.
According to the source, the amount of funds recovered for damages caused to the state, communities, and organizations with state and municipal participation through criminal proceedings and the application of criminal prosecution measures totaled 82 million 354,000 drams. Specifically, in the first half of 2026, through lawsuits to protect state and community interests and final judicial acts, 6 plots of land with an area of 7.13244 hectares and a cadastral value of 1 million 416,000 drams were returned to the Meghri community. Over the same period, as a result of prosecutorial intervention within the framework of protecting state and community interests, 5 plots of land with an area of 0.26912 hectares and an estimated market value of 5 million 152,000 drams were returned to the Kapan and Sisian communities.
In the first half of 2026, the Syunik Provincial Prosecutor's Office forwarded to court 38 criminal cases with indictments for grave crimes and 6 criminal cases for particularly grave crimes. Furthermore, 54 convictions for grave crimes and 9 convictions for particularly grave crimes entered into force.
