
ArmInfo. Employees representing various enterprises under Multi Group—a holding company owned by detained Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) leader Gagik Tsarukyan—gathered outside the Armenian government building to demand definitive answers regarding the future of their companies and assets.
Arman Piroyan, CEO of the Multi Wellness fitness center, stated that the protesters the protesters were reiterating previously unresolved demands. He alleged that the Yerevan Municipality is unlawfully utilizing corporate property without legal authorization. "Representatives of various businesses have gathered here today because they've lost their jobs. Some of them don't even know if their jobs are safe. We want to know what the final decision has been on this issue," Piroyan noted. Speaking about the situation surrounding the Multi Wellness fitness center, Piroyan admitted he has no particular expectations.
A representative of the Multi Grand Resort in Tsaghkadzor reported that no progress had been made since prior discussions with officials. She noted that staff had previously submitted three core questions to the authorities: when the businesses would be sealed, when frozen bank accounts would be released, and who would ensure the payment of salaries for the affected workforce.
"At the meeting, they listened to us and said they would try to respond by Monday. However, we still haven't received any answer. We intend to stay here today until we receive one. Everything that happened wasn't our fault, nor was it Tsarukyan's fault—we all understand perfectly well who is really to blame," the protester stated. During the protest, several company representatives were invited to the government building, where they agreed to listen to their demands and questions.
