Melania Harutyunyan appointed  RA Prime Minister`s press secretary 

ArmInfo.  Melania Harutyunyan has officially been appointed as the Press Secretary for  Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, following a formal  decision signed by the head of the government.

"In accordance with Part 10 of Article 9 of the Law on Public  Service, Melania Harutyunyan is appointed Press Secretary to the  Prime Minister," states the decision distributed by the government's  press service.

Note, the appointment follows an announcement made by Prime Minister  Pashinyan during a July 30 briefing, where he introduced Harutyunyan  as the successor to outgoing press secretary Nazeli Baghdasaryan. "As  you know, Nazeli Baghdasaryan is concluding her term as the Prime  Minister's Press Secretary. I would like to thank her and take this  opportunity to inform you that Melania Harutyunyan will be appointed  as the Prime Minister's Press Secretary," Pashinyan stated at the  time, expressing hope that the established briefing format would  continue.

Recall, Baghdasaryan will transition to a new role as a member of the  National Assembly, where she has been selected as the Civil Contract  party's candidate for chairperson of the parliamentary Standing  Committee on Labor and Social Affairs.  Prior to her new government  role, Harutyunyan served as a secretary of the Civil Contract party's  youth organzation.
