Daniel Ioannisyan: Why are billions of our tax dollars spent on  ArmPost?

ArmInfo.  Daniel Ioannisyan, head of the "Union of Informed Citizens" NGO, has  responded to media reports about the fanulous salary received by  ArmPost director Shushan Aleksanyan, the spouse of Hayk Konjoryan,  head of Armenia's ruling Civil Contract parliamentary faction.

It should be noted that, according to recent media publications,  despite the company's challenging financial situation, Aleksanyan  reportedly receives a monthly salary of approximately $10,000. 

" We are a very interesting society. No one cares that 'Haypost'  operates with a deficit in the billions and that the money comes from  the taxes we pay. But everyone cares that the director of 'Haypost'  is the wife of Hayk Konjoryan, receiving a salary of 3 to 4 million  drams. Excuse me, I don't care who the post office director is, but I  demand an explanation of why billions of our taxes are being spent on  this company."

He further noted that the primary addressee for this question is the  Government of the Republic of Armenia, which appoints the postal  director and allocates billions to fund its operations.
