ArmInfo. The Armenian authorities are continuing their political repressions and the imprisonment of prominent and influential opponents, as stated in a Facebook post by Artak Beglaryan, former State Minister of Artsakh.
According to him, among numerous previous cases, the latest glaring episodes include the unlawful imprisonment of Avetik Chalabyan, the criminal case against Narek Karapetyan, and the sanctioned persecution of Liparit Drmeyan. Furthermore, the staged arrest of Gagik Tsarukyan has crossed not only legal and political boundaries, but moral ones as well.
" Pashinyan is systematically destroying the political and public sphere in an attempt to silence opposition voices. Day by day, he is pushing Armenia into the abyss of authoritarianism, contrary to his 'democratic oaths.' All political persecutions must be halted, and public pressure is vital to achieving this," Artak Beglaryan emphasized.
