Turkish radio station lost its license over "Armenian genocide" reference

ArmInfo.The Turkish radio station "Acik Radyo" has filed a separate lawsuit with the Constitutional Court challenging the decision to revoke its license. 

The station's license was revoked by the Turkish Radio and Television  Supreme Council (RTUK) after a guest used the term "Armenian  genocide" during one of its program, Ermenihaber reports.

Despite the station paying a fine and fulfilling its obligations,  RTUK suspended broadcasts, citing non- compliance with the suspension  decision, which, according to the station's management, was caused by  technical problems. Turkey's Supreme Administrative Court also upheld  the license revocation without providing any justification.  Representatives of the radio station claim that this process  constitutes a gross violation of freedom of speech and thought, as  well as a violation of the public's right to information.

The radio station has announced that it would continue its legal  struggle, emphasizing that the court's decision poses a serious  threat to the country's legal security.
