Prosecutor`s Office demands confiscation of 75 properties and over 105 billion drams from Gagik Tsarukyan

ArmInfo. The RA  Prosecutor General's Office has filed a formal demand for the state confiscation of 75 real estate properties belonging to Gagik Tsarukyan, leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party.

According to the supervisory authority, the targeted assets include 52 apartments in Yerevan's Nor Nork district, five apartments on Abovyan Street in central Yerevan, 11 properties in the Kotayk region, and others. Additionally, the prosecution is seeking the

confiscation of 10 properties at their market value, 42 vehicles, and shares in 38 legal entities—including Multi Group Concern LLC, Multi Autotrans LLC, and Onira Club LLC. The total monetary claim stands at AMD 105,866,000,000.

Koryun Seropyan, Head of the RA Prosecutor General's Office's Department for Confiscation of  Property of Illicit Origin, recalled the prosecutor's office's satisfied motion, according to which the management of Ararat Cement CJSC was transferred to the state as a means of securing the execution of the claim.

Gagik Tsarukyan, leader of the opposition Prosperous Armenia party and prominent businessman, is under arrest in Yerevan. On July 7, 2026, the court remanded him in custody for two months following large- scale raids and searches at more than 80 companies associated with him. New criminal charges have been filed against the politician. Persecution. Tsarukyan is accused of large-scale fraud and money laundering (involving foreign businessmen). On July 24-25, 2026, the Investigative Committee of Armenia opened a new public criminal prosecution against Tsarukyan for tax evasion involving the Yerevan Ararat Brandy- Wine-Vodka Factory (the company's director was also detained). Party representatives and lawyers consider all charges and detentions to be purely politically motivated and a means of pressure on business assets following political trials and elections.
