ArmInfo.  In Ararat, 48 families who received housing orders back in the Soviet era will be provided  with apartments by 2030. The corresponding decision was made at a  government meeting on July 23.

According to Minister of Territorial Administration and  Infrastructure David Khudatyan, for this purpose, public lands of  0.26 hectares with a cadastral value of 4.8 million drams at 20  Shahumyan Street and 0.11 hectares with a cadastral value of 2  million drams at 37/1 Shahumyan Street will be transferred to the  Emil Mining company. The latter is committed to constructing two  residential buildings with 48 apartments, each approximately 68  square meters, by 2030 and transferring them to the community, which  in turn will provide housing to families holding permits for  apartments in these buildings. Additionally, the community will  receive a 686 square meter plot of land for the construction of a  public library.

Khudatyan explained that construction was underway in these areas  during the Soviet era, and residents renounced their development  rights in exchange for receiving permits for apartments. However,  their buildings were demolished, and the construction that had begun  was never completed.

"As a result of this program, residents who lost their property in  the 1980s will have the opportunity to restore their property  rights," Khudatyan said.

Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan, in turn, noted that  construction volumes are expected to increase in regional centers, as  the income tax refund mechanism for home purchases will continue to  operate there.
