National Philharmonic Orchestra of Armenia to hold open-air concert  in Dilijan

ArmInfo.  The National Philharmonic Orchestra of Armenia, in collaboration with Green Rock, will hold an open-air concert in Dilijan. This musical evening,  taking place on July 22 at 7:00 PM next to the Dilijan city pond,  will be dedicated to the city and its residents. The program will  feature works by one of the most beloved Armenian composers, Arno  Babajanyan.

The main goal of the event is to make culture an integral part of  public life and contribute to the further development of Dilijan's  cultural environment.

According to Green Rock CEO Katerina Danekina, sustainable  development of a city cannot be reduced solely to creating  infrastructure and attracting investment - it is primarily linked to  people, local communities, and culture. "Dilijan has the unique  potential to become one of the region's leading cultural,  educational, and tourist centers. Commenting on the initiative, Eduard Topchyan, Artistic Director and  Principal Conductor of the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra,  noted that Dilijan has always been one of Armenia's most important  musical centers. "It is no coincidence that the Edward Mirzoyan  Composers' House is located here, serving as a source of inspiration  for many outstanding composers for decades. We are sincerely pleased  that, through the collaboration between the Armenian National  Philharmonic Orchestra and Green Rock, we are contributing to the  revival of these remarkable traditions, once again filling the heart  of Dilijan with high-art music," the maestro remarked. Speaking about  the program, Topchyan noted that Babajanyan's musical legacy is an  invaluable part of Armenian culture. According to the conductor, his  works are distinguished by their remarkable lyricism, spiritual  warmth, and unique blend of folk and modern harmonies and rhythms.  "This music continues to live in the memories and hearts of many  generations. We hope that this evening will provide the residents of  Dilijan with an unforgettable experience," he said.
