ArmInfo. Have the results of the latest stage of the "Fertile Garden" project been completed in Armenia's Syunik region?
This was reported by the Russian Embassy in Armenia.
The project, implemented by the UNDP "Sustainable Communities" program with financial assistance from Russia, aims to ensure economic stability in the region's rural communities through the development of horticultural farms. "As part of the project, 200 Syunik residents completed a training course, including practical lessons on growing fruit trees. Of these, 167 will be selected to participate in the next stage.
Russian diplomats, together with UNDP Coordinator in the Syunik Region K.A. Hakobyan, participated in the handover of specialized equipment to project participants in the cities of Kapan, Meghri, and Sisian. City leaders noted the relevance of the program, which makes a significant contribution to unlocking the potential of the Syunik region," the Russian Embassy press service said in a statement. The "Fertile Garden" project is one of several major initiatives being implemented as part of the UNDP Sustainable Communities program with financial assistance from Russia. Its main goals are to support rural residents, develop entrepreneurial skills, and provide a stable source of income.
