


ArmInfo. Yerevan has once again reaffirmed its status as an "open-air museum" with the inauguration of a new cultural space in the city center. Located in Misak Manushyan Park, the site now features an exhibition of 13 sculptures by Ashot Harutyunyan.
Ashot Harutyunyan is a distinguished sculptor, a recipient of the President of Armenia Award, and a member of the Artists' Union of Armenia. This project was realized with the support of the Yerevan Municipality.
According to a statement from the Yerevan Municipality, the works will be on display to the general public as part of a permanent exhibition. The sculptures were donated to Yerevan on the initiative of the Artists' Union of Armenia.
Harutyunyan works in both easel and monumental sculpture. His works are featured in the National Gallery of Armenia, the Yerevan Modern Art Museum, as well as various other museum and private collections. Throughout his career, the sculptor has participated in numerous national and international exhibitions, including projects in France, Japan, and China.
Ashot Harutyunyan's creative work is characterized by a refined attention to form, a laconic approach to imagery, and a constant search for a contemporary artistic language all while maintaining a profound connection to the traditions of the Armenian school of sculpture.
