


ArmInfo. The Anti-Corruption Court has satisfied a lawsuit filed by the Prosecutor's Office to protect state interests, ruling that 76.8 million drams be collected from the former Mayor of Yerevan, Gagik Beglaryan.
According to a statement from the Prosecutor General's Office, on September 3, 2025, within the scope of its authority to protect state interests, the Prosecutor's Office filed a lawsuit with the Anti-Corruption Court against former Yerevan Mayor Gagik Beglaryan, demanding compensation for damages caused to the community in the amount of 76.8 million drams.
The Anti-Corruption Court accepted the lawsuit for proceedings on September 9, 2025. Simultaneously, the court granted the prosecutor's motion to seize property belonging to Gagik Beglaryan, up to the amount of the claim.
The lawsuit was based on factual circumstances established during the course of a criminal proceeding. On July 7, 2026, the Anti-Corruption Court ruled to satisfy the Prosecutor's Office's lawsuit in full.
Recall, Gagik Beglaryan was accused of alleged abuse of office and large-scale money laundering. He has been in custody since June 5 and maintains his innocence regarding the charges brought against him.
