ArmInfo. Due to festive events marking the Vardavar religious holiday, roads will be temporarily closed in central Yerevan on July 12. The Yerevan Municipality announced this.
According to the announcement, vehicle access to Republic Square and adjacent streets will be closed from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM on July 12.
Also, from 6:00 PM on July 11 to 12:00 PM on July 12, a narrow one-way street adjacent to the children's play area, located between the Shahumyan monument and Shahumyan Square, will be closed.
The mayor's office urged drivers to take the restrictions into account in advance and use alternative routes whenever possible.
It's worth noting that this year, the city's mayor's office will hold the main Vardavar celebrations at Republic Square. The program includes water activities, children's areas, food courts, and a festive concert featuring Armenian performers and Italian DJ Alex Gaudino.
