ArmInfo. Citizens of Armenia will be able to obtain an electronic visa (eVisa) to travel to Taiwan, according to the Bureau of Consular Affairs of Taiwan.
According to the Bureau of Consular Affairs of Taiwan, this opportunity is available for two dozen countries.
"Citizens of the following countries are eligible for an eVisa upon meeting the relevant criteria: Armenia, Bahrain, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Colombia, Dominica, Ecuador, Haiti, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Mauritius, Montenegro, Oman, Panama, Peru, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and Uzbekistan," the statement reads.
However, certain conditions apply to Armenia. It is noted that from March 31, 2026 to March 31, 2027, Armenian citizens will be able to apply for an e-visa only if they hold a valid Schengen visa or residence permit, or a valid US visa or US residence permit valid for more than 180 days.
A separate procedure is provided for Armenian citizens invited by Taiwan's central government agencies or to participate in international conferences and other events organized or sponsored by Taiwan's government agencies. In this case, the host must obtain a special code (Ecode) for the applicant in advance, which is necessary for submitting the e-Visa application.
According to the published regulations, the e-visa is issued for tourism and business trips, visiting relatives, and participating in international conferences and sporting events. It is valid for three months from the date of issue, is single-entry, and allows a stay in Taiwan of no more than 30 days without the right to extend or change the visa status. To apply for an eVisa, applicants must have a passport valid for at least six months upon entry, complete an online application, and pay the consular fee by credit card. Taiwanese authorities reserve the right to request additional documents, and the final decision on admission is made by the immigration office upon entry.
Currently, Armenian citizens are required to enter Taiwan by visa. To obtain one, they must submit documents to the Taiwanese embassy in Moscow.
