ArmInfo.Despite the two-month extension of his house arrest, Samvel Karapetyan, leader of the "Strong Armenia" party, remains determined to intensify efforts to remove Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan from power. The politician made these comments to reporters following the recent Anti-Corruption Court hearing.
According to Karapetyan, while these efforts would be more effective if he were not under house arrest, the party is nonetheless systematically executing its "secret plan" to displace members of the ruling "Civil Contract" party from power. He cited the recent departure of the former Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, as a clear indication of this trend, claiming that Pashinyan has effectively become a "headless horseman."
Karapetyan also noted that the support of his followers, who gather outside his home, helps him cope with the challenges of his ongoing house arrest.
As previously reported, the court's decision has extended Karapetyan's house arrest for another two months.
